Great location - have been here many times with mates. Can get very busy during school holidays or long weekends. No mobile phone coverage. Bring your own wood for the your fire.

Do they have toilet here?
2WD access?
Yep by Julian E.
yes, just take it easy though, roads can be busy and rough in spots by Emma J.
I have never owned a 4x4, I love the Howqua River, my first visit was 1972. And then still go back. I prefer during the week and not school holidays. Such a beautiful part of our country. I steer clear from the high country in bushfire season because when fires occur on the Howqua you have very little chance to exit the area. A week or two after the school holidays is usually good apart and rubbish here and there. People like me generally take home a bag or three. Too many people don’t respect our beautiful country and it’s getting worse. by Martin T.
I've visited a lot of Victoria but not matter where I go, I always feel drawn to this pattern of the state. check out snakes reserve and the sites near janieson, just stunning and no 4wd needed by Emma J.
Has anyone stayed here since the floods? Has there been much damage?
We are here now. No damage that I can see by Lisa G.
