Free, plenty of space, toilets, walking track, phone reception, designated fire pits (although most making their own pit), easy to locate

Good camp-site in the middle of a volcanic caldera. Pine trees surround the camp area going 100m up the steep mountain rim. Every spot had a fire pit and there was a walking trail going up and around.

Arrived mid Sunday afternoon as the weekend crowd were leaving. Lots of great sites with their own firepits. Plenty of shade and 2 portable toilets at the entrance. Others all very friendly and had a very relaxing nights stay. Great for dogs. My little foxy/jackrussel loved it. Will come back again.

Answer:

I have never been to Firth park so I cannot comment on that. We have found my Franklin great because of the close proximity to Hepburn springs and Daylesford. We have always enjoyed our stay there and will definitely go back again by Stephen B.
