Terrible service. We arrived at 6 pm to camp and spend the evening in the tavern, but the curly-haired girl was rude and grumpy. She told us we could not camp despite the sign saying it was allowed. N... Read more

Stayed in the car park which was well signposted. Went in for a delicious meal (generous portions!). Ended up playing cards with the daughter of the chef and bar woman, lovely evening. A little noisy but slept comfortably still.

Good place if you need somewhere, not a lot of room, mostly for truckies. Got to buy something inside. Road noise is very loud and I got a LOT of bites on me.. not sure what it was to be honest, I used bug spray and didn't see mozzies or midges, bites still itchy a week later.

Very noisy. Trucks, trains.....and beer wasn’t cheap. Ok if there’s nowhere else to stay.

Is there a grassy spot for a tent? Or is it mainly for camper vans :)

No grassy spots but have seen people put tents up in the same bit where campers etc park. There’s shade, just chat to the ladies behind the bar about the best spot to pitch it 😃 by Ellie Rose Weale
