Probably the best free campsite I’ve ever been to! Brand new toilets with shower. We couldn’t get the hot water tap to turn, so not too sure if it has it. You do need to write out a permit, there were none when we got there on a Friday. Super busy and a little squished, but everyone was understanding. Also I believe pets are allowed, someone even brought their pet chicken!

Lovely little quiet spot to camp. Beach isn’t a swimming beach but kids had lots of fun trying to catch crabs in the shallow waters.

Quiet out of the way spot. Clean toilets and BBQ area. Not a swimming beach, the tide was way out! Crabbing allowed.

Good spot for a night on the way to/from Adelaide. Smaller than some other spots we have been but nice enough.

I saw on the website that it’s closed?? Is it still closed or open now.???

It was closed when I visited yesterday, unsure if they are planning on reopening it. by Blair R.

Answer:

It is under going renovations, adding power and water to each site, upgrading the surface (gets very boggy in the rain). I don't know the date for reopening but the intention is before summer. I'll ask a local to see if I can get an estimate of reopening. It will cost once it opens, from memory $6 pn with power/water by Belinda K.

I was there this time last year Graeme and there was plenty of room.. it’s quiet spacious so it’s possible.. if not, there is also another spot further up the road as well as long as you don’t have a tent. by Melissa T.
