Great little free campsite, good for a 1 night stop off. Social club was good with nice takeaway fish and chips on a Sunday night!

Cute little place to stay. Quiet, nice people around. Toilets are alright, slightly messy 🤷🏼‍♀️ Would stay again. Beach has a nice sunset but it’s full of seaweed but a nice walk, you can see horses... Read more

Really peaceful large drift camping areas right on the beach. You take a couple dirt roads off the motor way to access it and it’s in a small town. It has BBQ’s with picnic tables and decent toilets. Drinking water available too. There is plenty of space, we arrived at around 11 at night and still had room to park up even though there were about 25 others there. Really cute and peaceful, felt safe all night, I would highly recommend.

Question:

I saw on the website that it’s closed?? Is it still closed or open now.???

Answer:

It was closed when I visited yesterday, unsure if they are planning on reopening it. by Blair R.

Answer:

It is under going renovations, adding power and water to each site, upgrading the surface (gets very boggy in the rain). I don't know the date for reopening but the intention is before summer. I'll ask a local to see if I can get an estimate of reopening. It will cost once it opens, from memory $6 pn with power/water by Belinda K.

Question:

Is there any room at the moment there?

Answer:

I was there this time last year Graeme and there was plenty of room.. it’s quiet spacious so it’s possible.. if not, there is also another spot further up the road as well as long as you don’t have a tent. by Melissa T.
