Excellent stop if you are fully self contained. Short walk across the field to foreshore swimming, park, skatepark and pump track. Located in the same rec area as the cricket club, modern off leash dog parks, clean toilet blocks, swimming and gym club and the Tram Depot. Free to stay but please contribute back to the town. The hop on/off Tram trip was volunteer run and absolutely fantastic, we saw 4 koalas and saw the town from an awesome view. Pop your head into the cricket club on a Saturday arvo and buy a beer. Lovely blokes.

Hot showers available next door at swimming and rec centre for $3. 48 hour stay allowed at site. Good dog park on site too.

Toilets are very clean. Big oval for kids to kick a ball. Dog park. Highly recommend for a stopover. Portland is a pretty little town to drive into at night.

Be mindful that only if you have a self contained caravan or campervan does this site allow you to stay. Essentially if you don’t have your own toilet, no stay.

Question:

We are planning a trip 2nd week of January. What ade the chances of rocking up and there being a spot then? Most caravan parks are minimum 3/5 nights so booking in places is proving difficult.

Is this open all year round?

I have a toilet but says my RV type suitable why? Also, these with toilets and showers still use facilities any way. Very small rv unfriendly. Why I I have to pay to stay and caravans don't. by Cheryl G.
