Portland is lovely and this is a great spot to stay for a couple of nights if you’re self contained. It’s free. (No fires) Toilet block. Showers are available for $3 at public pool next door. Lots for kids close by. Beach and Portland township within walking distance. For the most part folks are friendly, quiet and happy to move to accommodate additional vans. Would have been far more enjoyable if the green caravan parked next to us didn’t use their generator at all hours… they had been there long enough for the grass to grow around their van. Double standards considering it’s apparently a limited stay (2 nights) but some are above the rules. Huge letdown by local council.

We are planning a trip 2nd week of January. What ade the chances of rocking up and there being a spot then? Most caravan parks are minimum 3/5 nights so booking in places is proving difficult.

I have a toilet but says my RV type suitable why? Also, these with toilets and showers still use facilities any way. Very small rv unfriendly. Why I I have to pay to stay and caravans don't. by Cheryl G.
