Good camp, hot showers and clean facilities. Just noisy at night when people are “partying”. Max stay 72 hours.
Couldn't have squeezed another vehicle in here with a hammer. 3pm must be the new "get in early" time. Had to park under the bridge so really needed to stop and sleep. Saturday night, similar experience as previously described with noisy kids. Didn't try the toilet /showers but they looked pretty good when I walked past them and the local kids seemed to think they were work walking nearly a kilometre to use them, lol. I soupy recommend if you have even a small caravan or camper trailer... It's just too tight. Jucy camper or sleeping in the back of the Ute would be fine. Unfortunately I'm not going to bother with it next time. There's a nice well lit, flat test area about 3km south of this camp just after the Gordonvale sign heading north. I'd suggest that over this one, altho is not a camp, no toilets etc but if you need a sleep it's my pick.
Arrive sat around 8:30pm and the site was already packed. Drove around a little and found a suitable space. Went to the toilets (which were very clean) at midnight to hear music SUPER loud. Some local kids having a party presumably behind the toilet block. Couldn’t hear the noise from where we had parked though. 4am. Said kids arguing. Screaming at the top of their lungs at one another. Started from the top end working their way through the camp site. This lasted for about half hour I’d say, if not longer. The grounds themselves are nice and well kept. Fellow campers chatty but knew when to call it a night. Unsure as to whether it’s a weekend thing with these kids but it wasn’t nice 😂
