Well maintained camp site. Can be rowdy in the more open communal camp areas, however there are a few excellent spots if you're wanting a bit of r&r with a campfire, wildlife and nature at your tent. I was camping solo and felt completely safe. There are a few good 4x4 tracks close by... great when they're open but can get flooded with traffic. I didn't get a chance, but lake would be ideal for a swim or to take the kayak out. Only a 30 drive to the beach
Stayed for one night as a close little getaway. Was great to hang by the fire with mates although spots could be limited in busy periods. The river water was warm for late September. Please please TAKE YOUR.RUBBISH OR BIN IT. So much of the riverside has been turned into a dump. It's not hard to pick up after yourselves and it means beautiful places like this don't lose their beauty. There are more than enough bins supplied.
