Don’t take a caravan in here ! You’ll have to back out Very small camping sites would only fit a car & swag/small tent It’s on the edge of an ocean swap & nothing for kids to see or do But ya can have a fire

Nice and quiet spot but there are bugs…so many flying bugs. We went in mid-Dec and ended up cutting out stay short because of the bugs. They also have a long drop and bore water tank which had run out of water. Be sure to pack your own! The town of Southport is not far though.

National Parks websites state there is no swimming in the lake as it is salt? Is this a definite?

I would say yes that’s correct but most times of the year the lake is bone dry and just a salt flats by Matt L.
