Can I make bookings for this site around 6 January?
Forestry Corporation is following the NSW Government public health orders around COVID-19 and any changes will be updated on the website when/as they come into effect. A number of day use picnic areas have reopened and a list of these is available on the website at https://www.forestrycorporation.com.au/visit/closures/reopening-of-selected-picnic-areas-in-nsw-state-forests Our campgrounds are now open, free-to-use and require no bookings. As always, our campgrounds work on a first-come, first-served basis. To assist the NSW Government in tackling COVID, visitors are encouraged to: o Download and use the NSW Government COVID app o Register their details via an online form on our FCNSW website. Details requested are name, phone or email, campground & State Forest, and dates of stay. All information collected will be kept strictly confidential and used for no purpose other than intended - which is to provide those details to government should they request them in relation to tracking COVID. The online form for 'camping self-notification' can be found here: https://www.forestrycorporation.com.au/visit/_nocache We have increased our maintenance regime for shared facilities, however visitors should be aware that FCNSW cannot guarantee all shared visitor facilities are disinfected when they visit. It is the visitor's responsibility to maintain good hygiene at all times, including washing their hands. For this reason, we recommend visitors BYO soap, water and hand sanitiser. Please note: Some forests remain closed after being affected by bushfires and this list is on the website at https://www.forestrycorporation.com.au/visit/closures/widespread-closures-bushfires Permits for organised events and activities involving larger groups of people, are assessed in-line with the appropriate public health order considerations. Fore these you will need to apply for a permit. NSW Government public health orders still apply to all our campgrounds and forest areas. So physical distancing, good hand hygiene, and rules on public gatherings apply and can be looked up on the government website. Dogs are allowed as long as they are under their owners control at all times https://www.forestrycorporation.com.au/visit/activities/dogs2 All other information regarding campgrounds can be found on our website at https://www.forestrycorporation.com.au/visit/forests by NSW S.
