The flies were a bit much, impossible to spend time outside or even open the windows unless you have fly nets. But quiet and felt safe for the night!

Yes it's open and is only a short drive from town. Compacted gravel road but the designated bays for vehicles is sealed. It's between a local park and part of a rural property. We felt quite secure here and it was almost dead silent all night. Great spot.
