Perfect spot outside of town for a free stopover. Town is very close, accessible by all vehicle types including those with caravans. It is a rest area off the road so there is no power or amenities other than a toilet.

Great spot just east of town. Has a pit toilet and parking behind where the truckers stop for mandatory breaks. Obviously being on the highway there is road noise but it’s bearable. And you can shower at the pool in town for $4. Unfortunately there is a lot of rubbish left here by inconsiderate travellers. Hopefully you’re not one of them. I’m here for a few days so going to see local council about getting it cleaned up and maybe emptying the bins more often. 🙏🏻
