We had a great time, the campsites are generous with fire pits and hot plates. We had a wombat visit in the night which was special. In the morning we had a fish and caught 11 Salmon within half an hour. The road in was well maintained and fine to tow our van.
It didn't say anywhere that the last 10km are bumpy gravel road up and down the hill. You can make it with a 2WD especially an old van if you are very careful and have good nerves. Wouldn't recommend to drive there during rain though. Quiet spot, only thing you hear is the ocean and wildlife. Beach is only a very short walk away but it rained at night and we didn't feel like checking it out. Clean campsite with about 6-7 other cars when we arrived. Toilets smell a bit but what else do you expect
Small little campground with only around 10 spots. Completely fine for caravans. Can be a bit windy, but you are behind the sand dunes so slightly protected. 100m walk to the beach and pet friendly for on lead. No generators to be used also.
Pretty much exactly what you would expect from a free camping site, toilets are long drops, not too shabby, plenty of toilet paper. Only stayed for 1 night as we passed through beach was a short little walk up the steps. No drinking water but pretty nice little camp fire spots.
