I am reluctant to tell you how beautiful this place is , for fear that I might not be able to get a booking next Ike I want to stay there. Snorkeling is sensational. We have a large self contained car... Read more

Absolutely loved this place. Perfect swimming for the kids in shallow calm water with likely encounters with very tame green sea turtles. You can fish off the beach but no speafishing or fishing from any vessel allowed. We used it as the base for our whale shark trip which launched from the boat ramp 30 mins up the road. This National Park is managed by volunteers and the drop toilets are the cleanest I’ve ever seen. The sites are marked and large but very hard to get pegs in. Wooden posts around each site make it easy to tie things down as the wind was pretty fierce during the day but fell away in the afternoon. At night little kangaroo rats come out and snoop around looking for scraps. Don’t be fooled by their names... they’re ridiculously cute. If you fancy it, you can swim out and find bronze whaler and lemon sharks in the deeper gutters.
