There are a variety of different sites here. The campground is set on a beachfront hillside, there are level sites for caravans close to the beach which have concrete slabs and artificial turf ground cover. Further back, the sites are a mixture of ‘cut and fill’, some suited to camper trailers or small to medium sized caravans, and ‘benched’ sites which you park your car beside then walk up a couple of steps and pitch your tent. The ground cover is road base gravel for all sites except the caravan sites at the front. Most sites are pretty level, maybe just a little slope on some. Park occupancy is maximised with the size of the sites and campers will camp boundary to boundary in most places. Internal roads are bitumen sealed, narrow, and winding. Park rules seemed to work when we were there for a long weekend - the place was packed but quiet at night so we could all get some sleep. Bathrooms were clean and well presented with good shower pressure. Plenty of fresh water taps in the park with a centrally located children’s playground. The camp kitchen has plenty of tables and includes bbq cooktops plus electric cooktops for frypans and pots, plus washing up areas. It’s an easy and level walk or bike ride into town from here.

Awesome location. Easy walk in to Byron cbd. Access to Clarke’s beach and The Pass from back of park. Very tight corners for longer vans but can still be navigated.
