I’ve given this camp site 4 stars. One star lost for the hideous drive required to get there. 180km from highway to Exmouth then about another 40km on to get to this camp site. Exmouth was pretty miserable. Poorly designed with limited beach access. The coffee shops/town centre is nowhere near the beach. So we decided to look on further. Internet access drops out as you leave Exmouth and head into the Cape Range National park. The drive through National park to this camp site is bitumen. The beach is pretty and you’ll need goggles or snorkel to make use of the pristine and isolated beaches with reef literally just off the beach! In the end, having driven without internet access for 24hrs, down the longest most boring North West Coastal Highway you can ever imagine, we decided not to stay here and drive back into depressing Exmouth to stay for night at a caravan park. I’m glad we chose not to pay the $11/person to enter Cape Range National Park (self serve). Do the rangers really go out there to check vehicles? Camping was included in that fee. We stayed a couple of hours to swim...then the internet beckoned to us and we left
