Visited July school holidays . What a lovely quiet spot to spend a few days . You can camp free for up to 72 hours . Plenty of level grassed room for about 10 vans . Only 3 vans here. There are spots that will protect you from the wind or park next to the lake for great views. Picturesque little jetty to fish or catch yabbies or just watch the pelicans fishing !Small shelter shed with free book exchange. Go down the road to Raukken the birth place of David Unaipon the man on the $50 note and the church on the $50 note , visit the gallery ( it’s free) and read his story , he invented so many things including what would become the shears used for sheep shearing today. The ferry noise is minimal and not busy. From the campsite you can see Australia’s only inland lighthouse.Would definitely stay here again .
