Very hard to secure a spot. Always full. Council are trying to reclaim land and prohibit free camping
Forget this place. It has been taken over by homeless people in tents. Kept awake by drinking and arguing so left in the middle of the night. Bendigo has some great places you can discreetly park for the night if you are self contained.
Small camp space for max 10 spots, close to city. There were toilets and bbq but it was next to a road and there were a few semi-permanent people living there. I think it was fine & safe but we did leave to go to a paid camping park nearby because I preferred to pay a bit and be in a nice place, didn’t feel at ease there.
Not convenient for big rigs...such as buses or large motorhomes.
We stayed here and it was nice, quiet the night we were there. They obviously prefer self contained. I’d go back.
