Great place. Seriously. Good for kids (1 to 14ish?), lots of daily activities. Facilities are always clean and communal areas are very nice. We thought we had a bit of a dodgy site when we got there, but it was fantastic in the end. Lots of space in most campsites (you probably want one in sites 20 to 35 for the best ones, but the others are still good too). Lots of visitors coming and going over the week we were there. Great place to set up base camp and explore Tweed coast and Wollumbin (Mt Warning). 30 mins or so to coast, 10 mins to Murwillumbah for any extra supplies. Negatives? Activities for older kids? Not a lot to do at night (again for older kids)? Maybe some sites are a bit close to others (but they seemed to try and space new arrivals out where possible). They took down some of the swings while we were there (which made our girls sad!). Great place, we went over week before Easter (Qld school hols) and it wasn’t overwhelmingly packed. Would consider going again after exploring other regions.
We went in winter- it was Very Cold! They have clean toilets, a big lagoon with a diving board for swimming, lots of activities for kids to do and farm animals. The provided activities are more directed towards families but I am sure that individuals could also enjoy time there. They have glamping cabins and tent campsites. There aren’t many bush walks in the area but there are a couple of paths.
Great place to stay for the whole family. Feed the animals, swim/canoe. Powered or unpowered sites. Showers toilets. Pets. Stay 7 Days pay for 6. Definitely going back again & again.
