Does not allow tent camping but this is not mentioned online anywhere so we rocked up at 11pm and had to find somewhere else to go

Great overnight free stop. very close to town, quiet, the cleanest toilets I’ve seen so far. weather was terrible for our stay, rain, hail, strong winds so area was a little muddy but still accessible . easy bike ride/walk to beach front and wetland track. right behind the old tram and museum. wifi excellent. water and dump point available . no fires. we were in a sprinter van and didn’t have a problem staying. just take your waste and rubbish with you , don’t leave a trace. Great dog park near toilet block. Thank you for providing such a wonderful place and amenities

We are planning a trip 2nd week of January. What ade the chances of rocking up and there being a spot then? Most caravan parks are minimum 3/5 nights so booking in places is proving difficult.
