Great little spot if you’re self contained. Looks like there *may* be toilets but they look really dilapidated. I personally chose not to go in. Great spot to see some wildlife.
Found this spot on this App and it’s not far from the main road and right on the water. On my own and found it safe to stay the night. No facilities so just be prepared. Town not to far away if you ne... Read more
This campsite is Right on the banks of the Murrumbidgee river. It is situated nicely outside of Hay but still close another to quickly pop into town to grab some things. The toilets looked very very old and dilapidated and I didn’t feel any urges to go and check them out. I can only assume they’re not to the greatest standards anymore. They’re somewhat tucked away at the far end past the boat ramp. It was extremely quiet when I was here and I only saw a few anglers briefly. If your a fisherman bring your gear. Very large fish surfacing right next to where my camp was set up on the evening. Be aware that there is not an abundance of flat ground therefor first in best dressed if your setup is flat ground dependant. It says camp fires aren’t to be lit. Evidently the signs have been ignored but If like me you abide by the rules then you will not be able to light a fire here. All in all it’s very tidy considering it’s free to stay here.
