Busy at Easter, but we found a spot beside the river a few hundred metres south with good access to a swimming hole.

This place is so over grown and not looked after it is a real shame. Did not even try and camp there the night. Drove another hour to Mt Franklin gorgeous spot well worth a visit.

We arrived at night with our24ft van to find we couldn't get into the site - we were just too big. So we ventured across the culvert to a large turning circle and set up there. It was fine. There was enough room and a fire scare we could use. It was right next to the road though. The creek was flowing. Local 4wd was reasonable, but just a tour, not full on 4wding. There were no facilities at all. We have a loo on board, so this was no an issue. Plenty of local timber for a fire. Quiet, respectful neighbours/other campers.
