The reserve is clean and easily accessible to all vehicles, the amenities are adequate and the Gwydir River was very refreshing after being on the road all day. The sites aren't easily marked out and the grass was quite high so extra care was taken due to the snake danger. Mozzies! The little buggers we're everywhere and hungry so bring a net. They even loved the GoPro doing a nightlapse photo. Overall this is a great overnight stop if you're travelling and if you plan on spending a more tha a few nights consider bringing a whipper-snipper.

Nice quiet place, good camping and we were the only people here. The dog loved it the most cooling off in the river due to the heat (44 degrees today!), only thing to be aware of is the drive into tow... Read more
