It was a lovely stay overnight at the Racecourse & Rec ctre. We booked by ph about 3 hours before getting to Great Western & received a welcoming text with clear instructions how to find our way. I rang the mobile in the text approx 5 mins before arrival & spoke to Linda who said to go thro gate 1 she would be there to welcome us. We could camp pretty much anywhere except the powered sites. We drove back to the Great Western Hotel for a meal with the friendly locals in the front bar siting by wood heater. We had small seafood basket & slow cooked pork ribs (yum) with drinks. Back at the camp it was very quiet and we were a short walk to the ablution block accessed by a code given to us by Linda. All in all it was easy & great stay.

We had an amazing time here - stopped in for the night on the way through, caretakers number on the gate as you arrive and they greet you and show you the facilities ($15 for the night). Clean toilet... Read more

Great place to stop over have spent the last three years for the Seppelts Cup. Plenty of space $1.00 per minute for showers. Call number for access to the clean ablution block and $10.00 per night for power.
