Gordon Country offers several different camping locations along a public dirt road which runs through the property. Each camping area might take, say, a few dozen campsites (or more) on each side of the road as you drive through the property. The first camping area that you come to is on the left side of the road and also serves as the camp managers reception / office. There’s toilets and also mobile phone reception at this office area, but no phone reception anywhere else. There are lots of places to choose from to camp at this property. The designated camping areas seem fairly well kept with no long grass. You will need to be self sufficient with a porta pottie in most of the camping areas. The place was very busy during the June school holidays when we were there, but still plenty of open space remained available at various locations if you looked. There’s 4WD tracks on the property if that takes your fancy but you wouldn’t need a 4WD to get to most of the main camping areas near the public road. Park pricing is a little confusing with vehicle charges - hopefully management can clear this up soon. Overall a good camping experience and may return one day when time permits.
