Please read ** Recently stayed here as a last minute decision to find somewhere to camp before the sun sets (unfamiliar with the area and no phone service). The site is stunning and one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever stayed. After leaving the following day I googled the location and it is listed on wikicamps as being a sacred aboriginal site and is no longer open to camping! I wish I knew this before hand. I have tried to find further information to confirm this online but couldn’t find any solid evidence. There is also no signage informing campers. Nevertheless, I feel this is a sacred place and hope to remind others who may stop here to Please do your research and respect our traditional owners and country. Please also note this pin drop is not RAAF Boab, which is located further down Fairchild Leopold road, and is open to campers.
