I think this campsite is rated highly by caravanners. There are some secluded spots away from the main flat area near the toilet where the caravans are but still being so close to the highway, there is a lot of truck noise and it felt too exposed to light a fire. Also, the blazing white fluorescent lights around the windmill ruin the star gazing and light the tent all night.
Stayed just 1 night stop over. Very clean site, and quite.
Very well kept free camp site. We artived early afternoon which was a great arrival time. Site started to fill quickly post 4pm. Tourist info is directly across the road and tge staff are super friendly. Great clean flush toilets. We were wary of parking inder trees with large branches, just in case....... Large enough for around 75 vans and there were a few vans you could see had been there for a few days Strolling into town is a great short stroll but very worth while. Congrats to the people that take such great care of this site.
