Discovery Parks - Melbourne

Tent camper here - went there as a tent camping trial to test out if camping is our thing, and it was great. Powered tent sites offered plenty of area for the tent and water/electricity supply was right next to it. Place has kitchen, toilet, hot shower so it’s very suitable for novice campers.

Ein sehr ordentlicher, großer und angenehmer Campingplatz. Weil wir spät dran waren mit dem Buchen, hatten wir nur noch eine Site mit eigenem Bad bekommen, daher können wir nichts über die allgemeinen Sanitäranlagen sagen. Unser Bad war super und auch die Küche war groß und mit 3 kompletten Arbeitsplätzen und viel Arbeitsfläche sowie guten Sitzmöglichkeiten ausgestattet. Draußen waren zudem noch zwei BBQ. Der einzige Haken (und deswegen nur 4 Sterne) war, dass die Sites mit Bad direkt und sehr dicht an der Straße waren, nur getrennt durch einen Blechzaun. Die Straße ist sehr laut die ganze Nacht durch. Aber wenn man weiter im Park drinnen einen Platz bekommt, sollte das kein Problem sein.

We were tent camping and were surprised to arrive to a thin strip of astro turf surrounded by a desert of concrete caravan sites.. but the ground was very firm, close to the ultra clean and well maintained toilet/shower/bath block and it drained extremely well. It's right under Tullamarine's flight path but we had kids so they were pumped and we didn't even notice the noise at night. The park was extremely well kept and tidy and the management were quick to help out when our tap broke and started leaking into the ground. They even offered us a cabin for the night if we were worried. Amazing. The pool was excellent because it had various depths so all three of our kids had a comfortable place to play and didn't want to leave.
