Beautiful sheltered bay on white sand beach. Got very windy at times but boating was still ok due to the location of the bay. Rudimentary rock boat ramp for small boats, subject to tides and wind. Gre... Read more

Great sites just off the beach , it’s not free but we had brought a weekly pass for the camps of the website 7 nights for $100 or it’s $20 a night. There was a broom toilet and all the sites were well maintained.

Question:

What's happening If I pay the permit and when I LL arrive there is no spot available?

Answer:

There are always enough sites for permit holders, but regulars do have their favourites, and these often fill up first during peak times. I recommend you take a look at the locations map, so if your first choice is crowded, you can head to a neighbouring campground instead. You can find a list of all the locations, and a map of the campgrounds at https://www.visityorkepeninsula.com.au/camping/campground-locations If you're planning to stay between Christmas and NYE, I recommend you book a permit ASAP. If camping permits do reach capacity. the capacity dates will no longer be available for booking. by Yorke Peninsula Visitor Information

Answer:

A Bush Camping Permit gives you access to any of the 19 Bush Campgrounds, but does not reserve a particular site - which are only available on a 'first in basis'. One permit is required per vehicle. by Yorke Peninsula Visitor Information
