Loved it here hope it opens again after the damage done by recent floods
Perfect summer camp! Huge open camping area! Plenty of spots for caravans and other campers up top. Down the bottom we snagged a private riverside spot and had the best time in the sun. Shallow rapids meant fun going down the river on donuts although beware of hitting rocks! Heaps of fish, the river goes on and on perfect for kayaking or SUP! There was also a rope swing further down along the river.
It was an awesome stay at Bretti Reserve. Will definitely coming back when the crowd is low.
We stayed in winter & it was fabulous. The river was running, the stars were out & a good 50m in-between campers. Toilets were clean longdrops. Rubbish bins available. Fairly flat ground. Great views... Read more

Over the years due to increase fire risk it's become a challenge to find great campsites that allow you to have a fire by your tent. Please be a responsible Aircamper and brush up on your fire safety knowledge. Bushwalking NSW has a great article that'll give you the rundown on how to light a fire responsibly. Below we've collected some hidden gems near Gloucester, NSW that still allow you to sit back, toast your feet and incinerate some marshmallows while telling stories about camping when you were a kid.
