I arrived very late in the evening as I was using this site for a little stop over. Once I arrived, any attempt to set up was hindered by swarms of small black flys attracted to the light. After I was safe in my swag in the dark, everything was fine and in the morning I was greeted to a manageable amount of insect activity and a lovely little camp site. There is a large open area away from tree cover so you needn't worry about falling limbs and can enjoy the stars. Facility wise, there is a toilet block that I didn't use but looked like it would do in an emergency and that is about it. The site itself was well maintained and while I managed to set up on a large rock, the ground seemed pretty nice. This is a nice little space on the way out east, I'll be staying again but I'll aim to arrive during the day and be prepared with insect repellent.
