The Bailes campground & sites are closed until further notice unfortunately, due to large bushfires in Feb 2024. We did NOT camp here. It's not safe to walk around & look in this area, it is fenced & gated closed, signs destroyed as well as facilities, its a nice big area, but there is NO camping sites available, & the entire area is closed until further notice. The ground is under constant patrols & works of Parks Victoria, & there are no picnic areas left... we are assured that the camping spots will reopen one day, when reconstruction & forest stability & ground stability works are completed, things take time to heal & regenerate.... so please respect the area & best to keep out until it's rebuilt.
