Just out of Lorne, you can walk along the road there in 45-60 mins from beach depending on your pace and fitness level. Popular camp with backpackers. Car park is about 300 meters away from the camp ground, so be prepared and consider what you really need to lug down there and back. No sleeping in cars there, regularly controlled due to proximity to Lorne. But the camp itself is great, quiet large and open, surrounded by beautiful bushland. Toilet are fine (composting long drops) with tank water for washing (not drinking). Note, no fires allowed at all, so lug your gas cooker down with you! Some great hikes, the walk from camp down thru the forests to the ocean, then along to coast until you reach Lorne is beautiful and goes thru several micro climates including amazing prehistoric tree ferns several meters tall, well recommended! Like most camps theses day, busy on public holidays, but you can generally find somewhere to pitch your tent, even if it is a bit of a squeeze.
