Fantastic for the family. A few things we wished we prepared though: 1. The river is rocky, so bring booties for everyone! 2. Rubber floating rings to make the most of the river. The bigger the better as you'll cop a rock to the bottom of it's too thin. You can hire these locally though. There was a nice short mountain climb to a waterfall close by. Our 3 year old was able to walk the whole way, just. Recommend this.

Super clean and grass sites for tent/caravan camping. Full camp kitchen has all you need. Dog friendly. Only (small) downside is a caged squawking cockatoo near the reception building.

Love this place. It’s a peaceful, friendly and a wonderful natural setting. Always head here for weekends when we can.

Great little campsite right on the banks of the Yarra. Lots of permanent residents in fairly established caravan / kit house constructions, but gives the place a unique outsider community vibe. Great place to spend the night after riding the Warbuton trail.

Question:

Hi, are there many places to eat & drink close by to have dinner etc ?

Answer:

Yep! There's Thai food, Indian, Wine bars etc in the town. Not too far by yourself, but you'd want to drive if you have kids. There are some local wineries that are worth checking out for lunch too. by Joel J.

Answer:

Actually, we are here at the moment and you can easily walk into town with kids. If you walk directly to town on the road it takes 10 minutes, otherwise you can walk along the snaking Yarra for a scenic walk. There are suspension bridges and bridges scattered along the river so you can walk on either side. It's beautiful. by Joel J.

Question:

Are you able to have campfire on your site?

Answer:

Yes! But you have to hire the fire pit stuff from the campsite. We did it on a site with no tent, but it was because we went with other families. by Joel J.
