Great campsite. Feels a million miles away from everything, while having amenities like hot showers and laundry facilities. We took a spot in “Dingo Flat” which was large and looked out into a big run of gumtrees. A decent walk to the main centre of camp and for most of the time we didn’t see a single person. And being able to have your own fire was icing on the cake, particularly coming into winter with everything a bit moist. Lighthouse Beach nearby had some good swell for surfing. Will definitely be back, when it’s quiet.
I’ve been in two minds about posting a review about this campsite. The honest, but selfish, truth is I don’t want too many people to know about it! Nestled in a forest of paper bark trees, it’s easy to set up camp and feel miles from anywhere in a heartbeat. A short walk over the sand dune and you have private access to the stunning treachery beach, a km of white sand to yourself, and a great surf spot. Fires are allowed for the proper camping experience and the night sky never disappoints. Like most, I’m also partial to running water, hot showers and bbqs in case in need of back up. All available, as is an on-site cafe, for that early morning kick starter. Very hard to find fault. It truly is a special place. Just try and keep it to yourself!
Absolutely love this camp site. The layout really provides enough space and privacy to properly relax. The amenities are good, showers are always warm! The ability light fires also allow for magical... Read more
