We booked an unpowered site here early December for 3 nights, at a cost of $121. All communications, including arrival instructions / plot # were via email or text messages. Yes it had been raining, but what met us was a small boggy / poorly drained plot which, in our opinion, was unacceptable given the cost, ie it could not compare to what we’d experienced the previous 3 weeks on our TAS travels.. (their website claims, “we offer spacious powered and unpowered sites”.) Given it was 3pm, and comms appeared to be via text / email, we simply left to an adjacent park rather than spend 3 days stay on a fairly miserable plot. (We immediately informed the site by text, and later had a call saying that if still in the immediate area we could return & seek something drier - it was too late, we were settled elsewhere) The next day we complained (by text) of course, only to be answered with, “Our cancellation policy does not allow refunds after the arrival date” - ie the computer says ‘no’. Presumably it rains a lot in Tassie (certainly during our 3 weeks) and rudimentary drainage of sorts would be a must for any caravan site. Proactive management would have helped, eg switched to any drier plot < arrival, failing this being upfront and offering a discount commensurate with the state of the plot. Gut feeling is, with the funds paid up-front and their unreasonable policies, there was no perceived need to keep the customer happy. In summary, if you choose to stay here think hard about handing any monies over prior to taking a look first.
