Great little bush camp so close to Port Augusta. If you travel from the south via Swinden the small bitumen road isn’t as rough and only about 4.5km until you reach the unsealed road, which is an all... Read more

What a beautiful campground! So picturesque & peaceful, plenty of space with many large sites for vans, motorhomes & tents, powered or unpowered, bush campsites with toilets & all set amongst enormous gumtrees. Secluded areas or more open sites, all feel quite private yet numerous campfire rings provided for communal use, if you want to get to know your fellow campers nearby. Rustic but very clean & well-designed amenities block, camp kitchen (very well equipped), BBQs, laundry ($3/wash), small store on site for essentials & free tourist brochures, even home-made relish/chutneys available & at times, frozen meats (lamb - this is on a sheep station after all.) Don’t miss the lovely bushwalking trails either. Clive & Louise are extremely helpful & friendly managers, most attentive & obliging! Just loved our 3 days here, in August 2021.
