Do not stay here if you want to enjoy Kalgoorlie! When we arrived we did not see the stop outside park sign after a long day driving nor did we have a booking. A dark haired lady (not sharon) came out and yelled at us to move as we were blocking her roads. Then it seemed out of her way to accommodate us with 2 sites. She literally barked orders at us about park rules and if that wasn’t all, she told us off for speeding, we were doing 10km to get over the speed hump with our van! Very rude and poor customer service. Now let’s talk about the park itself, for a big 4 they charge $53.00 and that’s ripping it off you, the toilets and showers are very old even though they say an upgrade is coming, it has been for over 2 years according to a regular. They are very busy with mine workers and tourists and there is only one poor lady cleaning them once a day. The men’s were filthy, mud everywhere and only 4 showers/10 working! We expected much more for a bigger town !! Not sure where the money is going but it’s certainly not bring reinvested in the park. The only good thing is the new IGA store around the corner.
