It's not free anymore, there's a $10/night fee. The light pollution from the nearby oil refinery is really bad - It's lit up like a Xmas tree at night. It is a quiet town though and the sunsets are gorgeous. The Point Lowly beach is the best in the area for a swim. There's mobile signal but it's pretty slow.

Bit windy, however what you would expect for this time of the year $10 for camping. BBQ area was new and clean. Shower okay was $2 for 3 mins.

Bit of noise from the fuel processing plant constantly only 1-2km down the road, beautiful spot other than that.

Amazing views, bit windy and found that if we continued down the dirt road there were plenty of free and secluded spots to set up camp along the coastline. This place was more suitable for caravans than tents. I would recommend finding a spot along the track instead
