Beautiful free campground about an hour west of Melbourne. Main car park can get crowded but if you don’t have too much stuff you can walk your way down the river and find more secluded places to camp. Bring mozzie spray and a sense of adventure :)

No it's no longer open...great new set up a little further on at the Upper chadwick track and Lerderderg campground. by Katrina R.

Lerderderg campground is great. You can still visit O’Briens but can’t camp there anymore by Marton B.

I go there all the time. You can no longer camp at O’Brien state crossing. Access to the river front for camping with a car has been blocked off. Beautiful for lunch, swimming and walking but not camping. by neomi a.
