Great free campste, very well laid out, camp sites are even numbered... we went up during castlemaine swao meet time, april 12...fire pits in most we saw, we pitched our tent & enjoyed every minute of it, despite weather always being a pain thi time of year. Saw kangaroos, woke up & went to bed with kookaburras laughing, Rosella's flying around, real great spot, & wonderful for walks & bike riding if you want to... nice & quiet too.... peaceful serene pine forests & bushland, & of course oak trees! The top part of the park up the hill has been hit by the recent bushfire, but is starting to regenerate, we had no problems finding the park .. an old sign saying park was closed was up (probably put there when the fires came through) Easy access for cars, dirt roads, just don't go too fast, sharp corners & kangas everywhere.. No power, there are drop toilets, but no water, so being own everything, & take rubbish with you.. excellent spot, will be one of our regular camps.
