Amenities are ok the cleaner needs to try a bit harder The park is adjacent to the Derwent River- beautiful area and great walking trails around the river But there is an element of young people that congregate on the river just outside the park and language is very poor and quite a few fights Police officers don’t seem to be able to control them People next to us had a $5000 bike that was chained to the caravan stolen Beautiful area but the poor element lets the place down

New Norfolk is a historical small town 25 km from Hobart. The camping manager was very kind and helpful, we paid for an unpowered site for an RV and a tent site $30 for both. The toilet-laundry-shower block is a dream! Some regular residents are there, didn’t see any families, the camping is relaxed and quiet. Good option if you visit Hobart.

Colourful,well maintained gardens and amenities alongside the Derwent River. Helpful manager. Large variety of unpowered sites to choose from. For more convenience perhaps there could have been 2 toilet keys when 2 people are staying rather than just 1.
