Self contained camping with no facilities for $10 a night at the most interesting little town in WA Great for a stop over.

Did you know about this historically unique town in Western Australia? ? Nope, neither did we until now.... ?? Welcome to ‘New Norcia’ which is Australia’s first and only town run by the Monestry! ?? Started way back in 1846, bringing Monks that had been kicked out of Europe, to come and be trained in a trade of their choice. A self sufficient town, stretching over 1 million acres, built in the shape of the cross, housed over 700 people including Aboriginals which were a proud and reliable part of the community! ???‍♂️???? Today, only 10 monks live in the town but it is still managed and run by the Monesty. Having their own bakery, olive oil, petrol station and art gallery means that this town will live for a long time... ?⛽️? Man we had a great time exploring around and the freecamp in the town was perfect for us! $10 bucks a night is pretty good, meaning we could easily explore the town and visit the info centre and enjoy the museum and art gallery!! ⛺️?? So, if your in the area or passing through be sure to STOP and see it for yourself! Tag a mate you would love to visit here with...?! ?
