Campsites

Probably one of the best campsites I’ve been to. It’s located on the right as you drive off the ferry (which is free). There are two toilets here which are well maintained, one is for ambulatory people and the other is for people with a disability. It has a ramp up to the doors. There’s a tap inside both and outside the toilet doors; there was no soap, so bring your own. The camp site is sort of broken into two sections, there’s this luscious green with a wall of reeds and trees, which shelter it from the brutal winds there. Then there’s this other section which is behind the toilets, amongst some small shrubs, which is perfect if you have a swag and a Ute. There’s a jetty which is inhabited by the local bird life and a bossy pelican. You can fish there, but all we caught were carp. They’re great fun to catch, but I personally wouldn’t eat them. The pelicans won’t say no though. The space is quite large and most people who come in, arrive later in the arvo. There’s a few people who may hang around for a few days. There would have been about 10 cars there both times I stayed.
