short drive from Goolwa, nice spot to camp right near the ocean, clean and flushing toilets, enough space, beautiful sunset

You can drive there from Hindmarsh island but the beach side is all via the beach. Need 4wd by Matthew

Is it free camping on the side they are pumping sand from or the other side of the mouth and can you have a fire there ?

Answer:

Camping is free on the Goolwa beach side of the mouth and you must not go into the dunes..Camping is only really permitted if you have your own toilet..This rule is not policed tho but the amount of toilet paper and nappies that get left on the beach it won’t be long before there is a camping fee or day use fee So please clean up before leave.. by Yt w.
