Fantastic spot for a free 24 hour stay. We used the camp fire to cook on, experienced a magnificent sun set and all the other campers were so friendly. The only issue was the fly’s and mosquitoes but that is to be expected in WA’s north.

We stayed on the opposite side of the highway from the Minolta Bridge Roadhouse for free (photos uploaded). Entrance to camping site is before the bridge if you are travelling north. Drop toilet and Optus phone coverage. No water. In October there was a dry river bed with lots of cockatoos and other bird life to watch and plenty of shade

Nice little place for an over night stop. $30 for a powered campsite. All grassed- if you’re using a tent make sure you have a hammer Quiet. Communal showers. No camp kitchen though
