Lovely little spot. Feels like it’s in the middle of nowhere but Colac is down the rd with all the shopping you could need. New toilets that are serviced and have toilet paper AND soap! Unfortunately Lake Colac is not really safe to swim in. It has been polluted for decades by surrounding properties and also the Colac abattoir and the sewerage treatment plant so lots of yucky bacteria in there. It’s a real shame that council isn’t investing money to clean it all out. I’d say that’s why this campsite is free.
