Beautiful, well maintained, free camping site with a gorgeous walk to a waterfall as an added bonus. Clean toilets, showers, and BBQ amenities, as well as play equipment for kids and firepots in some camping areas. No powered sites but great for campers/rvs, tents/swags, etc, that are self-contained. Probably no good for camper trailers as you cannot access grass areas with vehicles. Very popular stopping area, so get in early to get a good spot. One night stay only
Great little camp, very small, so best to get in early. Short walk to Falls. Definitely would stay again.
Nice and close to township
Very cool spot hidden in the forest just off a quiet road. Short walk to the falls. Good fire pits. Only annoying thing is you can’t drive on grass area so awnings and roof top tents can be awkward

They say life is better around the campfire. And we could not agree more. Over the years due to increase fire risk it's become a challenge to find great campsites that allow you to have a fire by your tent. Please be a responsible Aircamper and brush up on your fire safety knowledge. Bushwalking NSW has a great article that'll give you the rundown on how to light a fire responsibly. Below we've collected some hidden gems near Kelso, TAS that still allow you to sit back, toast your feet and incinerate some marshmallows while telling stories about camping when you were a kid.
