10 Reviews
Thank you Mark for your review.
This is a posting in addition to original review-we did not realise they people we dealt with were “caretaker” managers. Katrina, the full time manager, contacted us to apologise and offered us the additional night we requested free of charge at a time convenient to us. She could not have been more accommodating and helpful and I am sorry I did not have have all the information at the time of posting my original review-we will take her up on the offer of another night and book a couple more also as it is a lovely spot and she assures us she and her husband can get us onto one of the powered sites, Thankyou
Thank you Roslyn we look forward to seeing you when you are here next.
Had seen this great spot when passing and thought 4 nights would be nice getaway so booked a powered site. We had site 6 which ran uphill and dip at the front so we could not get high enough for jockey wheel to grip and not go back further with a ridge at the back to open our cub camper try as we might. A man arrived and said open it up and drag it to where you need it-clearly did not understand the dilemma and no caravan/camper experience. We asked if we could swap to one of the more level sites but told fully booked so we had to move to an unpowered spot down by the lake. Lovely spot and fortunately we were equipped. Three nights in and thought we would ask for an extra night to make up for some of the difference between powered and unpowered site. We were told no way, which I found extraordinary as we were not using their facilities only a small space near the lake. The same man said he told us how to fix our problem but had absolutely no idea of the concept, we can not have been the only ones with a problem on an uphill site and the entire time we were there more than half the level sites were not occupied at all, we asked why we could not have been moved, only to be told people book them and don’t turn up. Management are rude and unhelpful at best. We will not return, shame such a nice spot.
